Privacy Statement
  INTRODUCTION
The OLS recognizes the importance of protecting and maintaining the confidentiality of your personal information. The present statement explains how AccessCity will help protect your personal information when you use the Online Services Website.

The OLS is a service that allows users to create a unique user ID and password in order to use them on all participating AccessCity sites and services. By using the OLS Website, you accept the terms of use stipulated in the present statement.
COLLECTION BY THE OLS OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
As described in detail hereafter, we collect and process your personal information for the following three main reasons: (1) for the purposes of the authentication service; (2) to simplify your registration, which requires that you give personal information for the purposes specified in the privacy statement; and, (3) to improve the security of and provide technical support for your OLS account.
INFORMATION REQUESTED FOR YOUR OLS ACCOUNT
The OLS collects only the information required for the three purposes described above. When you use the OLS to connect to a participating site, the OLS temporarily saves the location to which you are connecting during your connection activity, as described hereafter. However, the OLS does not collect any other information regarding your online activity on the participating site, such as the Web pages you visit or the purchases you make, regardless of whether or not you are connected.

When you request that an OLS account be opened, you must provide personal information, which is stored in an OLS "profile." As set out hereafter, the amount of information required varies depending on the site to which you want to register; but, generally, an OLS profile contains, at most, the following information: (1) email address; (2) given name and family name; (3) language.

When you open your OLS account, you must create a password to access the account. You may also have to supply secret questions and answers. These are used by the OLS to identify you during specific account management tasks, such as resetting your password. Finally, some participating sites may require additional security measures.

The OLS creates a unique OLS identifier for each OLS account opened. This unique identifier allows the site to determine if each session is truly being opened by the same person. After opening an OLS account, you can display this identifier on the OLS user services site.

The OLS also temporarily saves in a log the individual sessions initiated, in order to ensure the efficiency and security of the OLS service. The information contained in this log is identified only by the unique account identifier and is never associated to personal information unless the user calls the service to request assistance.
USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION BY THE OLS
CASES IN WHICH THE OLS WILL NOT USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
The OLS will not sell, nor will it offer to lease, your personal information to third parties.

The OLS will not use, nor will it share, your personal information, without your consent, for any purposes other than those described in the present Privacy Statement.
CASES IN WHICH THE OLS WILL USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION:
The OLS uses your personal information for the operation and maintenance of your account and of the OLS service.

The OLS may send you email messages regarding the regular maintenance of the service or on recommended security updates. These periodic email messages are considered essential to ensure the proper operation of the service requested. Receiving these email messages is obligatory.

If you need to reset your password and cannot access your main messaging account, the OLS can send a password-reset message to your email address.
  MANAGING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
  ACCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
You may, at any time, add, update, delete or modify the information contained in your OLS profile.
  Closing your OLS account
You can close your OLS account by contacting the OLS technical support service.

If you attempt to open an OLS account and discover that someone has already created an OLS account using your email address, you may contact the OLS customer service and request that the OLS account using your email address be required to make the changes necessary to allow you to use your email address as an identifier of your OLS account.
SECURITY AND STORAGE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
The OLS service is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We make use of a variety of security procedures and technologies to help protect you from the unauthorized use or disclosure of, or access to, this information. Thus, we store the personal information you provide on limited-access computer systems that are located in monitored facilities.

You must enter the correct password to access your OLS information. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your OLS password and to keep from disclosing it to anyone.
  USE OF COOKIES
A cookie is a very small text file sent by a Website to the hard drive of your computer. It is used to store your preferences or the personal information you have provided.

The OLS uses cookies each time you connect to a participating OLS site. It stores in an encrypted cookie on your hard drive a unique identifier, the duration of your connection, and your OLS profile information. This cookie allows you to go from one page of the participating site to the next without having to reconnect. When you disconnect from the OLS, these cookies are deleted from your computer.

The sites you visit may store their own cookies on your computer. The OLS recommends that you read the Privacy Statement of each participating site to familiarize yourself with its strategies and practices relating to the use of cookies. You may use your browser settings to either accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to refuse cookies, you will not be able to connect using your OLS account.
MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRESENT PRIVACY STATEMENT
The OLS will occasionally update this Privacy Statement. When these updates are performed, the "Latest Update" date, found at the top and bottom of the statement, will also be revised. The OLS will obtain your agreement and your acceptance for any update to the present privacy statement, in particular when it materially extends the disclosure or use of your personal information and when these modifications were not stipulated in the Privacy Statement agreed to when the information was gathered.
Latest update: December 2004
