These two events were held on Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 at Hampstead Park, 30 Lyncroft Road. The concert, featuring the popular and exciting Switchback Band, was a nice bonus for those who came to donate the gift of life and could then enjoy a very fun evening, with music and dancing, featuring famous classics from the 60’s. It marked the closing of our second Annual Blood Drive which took place between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on that same day.
We are happy to announce that our blood donor clinic reached its goal of 90 donors, and we thank all donors with great appreciation!
These events also marked the end of summer by gathering people to celebrate its joys among friends and neighbours. In addition, Hampstead took a special moment to unveil the plaque honoring and thanking the late Mr. John Gilman of FieldTurf Tarkett, former Hampstead resident, for his generous donation of the synthetic playground surface to Hampstead Park.
